Where Matter Fears To Tread

What Can Astrology Tell Us about the Economy

Reserve Bank Governor Glenn Stevens is quoted as saying that “China’s economic recovery is “real” and could bring an Australian recovery within months – far sooner than the 2010-11 revival predicted in the federal budget”. But what can astrology tell us about the economic meltdown?

The meaning attributed to Jupiter by astrologers includes concepts such as optimism, expansiveness, hope, and positive outlook. The meaning attributed to Neptune includes concepts such as delusion, illusion, glamour, fog, confusion and inspiration. Merge the two groups of concepts together and we have something like: mass delusion, confusion, false optimism.

Jupiter and Neptune are conjunct in May July and December 2009. At these times we can expect sentiments such as those expressed by Reserve Bank Governor Glenn Stevens to appear in the media.
So do these sentiments represent mass delusion or is there strong astrological evidence of the direction in which the economy is heading.

The astrological evidence clearly points in the direction of major economic and political stress over the next five years. We are only at the beginning of this great crisis. What is this evidence do I hear you ask? Well the answer is based upon the outer ‘generational’ planets entering into a very stressful alignment which begins 2007/8 and gathers steam in late 2009 as the world enters a great crisis extending until 2015. History shows that these planets aligned at previous economic and political crises. These alignments correlated with economic stress, political upheaval and war.

The astrological picture revealed by the planets over the next six years indicates that the present crisis is likely to be worse than what we have previously witnessed.
